Asia Office
MAP's Office in Asia
MAP established its first regional office in Thailand in 2001, first as the SE Asia Office, and then in 2006 it broadened to become the Asia Office to oversee projects in both SE and South Asia.
Extensive networking throughout the Asia region has been an overall priority for the SE Asia/Asia Office since its establishment.
MAP Asia has co-organized and co-facilitated 9 In the Hands of the Fishers (IHOF) and 4 Ecological Mangrove Restoration (EMR) training workshops in Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka.
MAP Asia also co-manages the annual MAP Children's Art Contest in Asia, in addition to assisting international students doing research on coastal resource issues, as well as facilitating media visits (film, tv, etc.).

MAP Information Sheets: MAP often receives inquiries on a number of mangrove related subjects, so we've decided to develop a series of information sheets which will compile and synthesize the basic information on a selected topic. The summary paper will not be more than five to six pages in length including a list of references and additional reading. Information sheets will be revised from time to time to keep them up to date. The first information sheet available is on shrimp aquaculture and other planned topics are carbon sequestration, climate change and mangrove products.
