MAP Asia has collaborated and networked with a number of NGOs in India over the years, and most recently with:

Coastal Poor Development Action Network (COPDANET) in Tamil Nadu;

Sandhan Foundation in Orissa; and

Coastal Community Development Programme (CCDP) in Andhra Pradesh

Partners are developing Coastal Community Resource Centers (CCRCs) in Orissa, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman Islands, based on the CCRC model developed by MAP in partnership with the Small Fishers Federation of Sri Lanka (SFFL), near Chilaw, Sri Lanka.

Other projects have focused on environmental education, mangrove restoration, and Ecological Mangrove Restoration (EMR) training workshops (photo).
