Dodon came to MAP from the Indonesian Improved Cookstove Network (JKTI) and made an immediate impact with his technical tinkerings in Tiwoho. The CCRC has become a production center for improved fuel-efficient cookstoves and also a research and development center for other fuel wood saving appropriate technologies such as improved fish smokehouses and biofuel production. Dodon hails from Yogyakarta, Central Java, where he is currently developing a bamboo charcoal production unit at MAP's bamboo treatment facility. In his time with MAP Dodon has visited the Philippines as part of a  charcoal making and improved cookstove training course and is now training  fisherfolk communities  from Sumatera, Java, and Sulawesi in fuel wood saving technologies.
