Formed in 1995 to conserve and protect the mangrove ecosystem in Port Harcourt, it has spread to Yenegoa, Calabar, Uyo, Lagos, Benin, Asaba, etc. The mission of is to formulate and implement various components of rural community development projects in the Niger Delta capable of making positive impact on sustainable human development and Mangrove ecosystem conservation as well as to create a conducive environment for these through peace, dialogue and partnership by all stakeholders.

NAUCRATES, Onlus (Thailand)
Naucrates,
an Italian NGO, has been running scientific research and conservation projects on
sea turtles, mangroves, coral reefs, and sea grasses at Phra Thong island since
1996. Naucrates started a mangrove restoration project following the 2004
tsunami at Phra Thong Island.
They are alsoundertaking an environmental education program for children on the
island.

- PMCR (Cambodia)
PMCR is a project that started
in 1997 under the Ministry of the Environment with support from IDRC. PMCR is the leading project in Cambodia on Community Based Natural Resource
Management with many publications on their experience in Peam Krasop Wildlife
Sanctuary, Koh Kong Province. An on-going project is Mangrove Restoration
with local fishing communities in degraded mangrove areas caused by charcoal
production.
